Amman, Jordan
Day 1: Amman Airport – Petra (D)
A private driver will greet you on arrival at Amman's Queen Alia International Airport for the 4-hour drive to Petra in a climate-controlled vehicle, then assist you with check in at a Petra hotel. We recommend an earlier flight, as the hotel dining room closes and 10pm. Please note that most local Jordanian hotels do not serve alcohol: if this is a priority for you, you may contact the supplier to arrange an upgrade.

Day 2: Petra – Wadi Rum (B, D)
After breakfast at your hotel, make the short drive to the archaeological site of Petra, the Nabatean city carved more than 2,000 years ago. A local guide will escort you on the horseback journey from the entrance to the Siq, a narrow canyon extending 1,300 yards (1,200 meters) to the main entrance to the city.
Along with your guide, explore the Roman-era Theater and the Royal Tombs: if time permits, you can also climb to the Monastery (Jordanian rules mean your guide cannot accompany you here).
Next, you'll begin the two-hour drive to Wadi Rum, once known as the Valley of the Moon, where the movie Lawrence of Arabia was filmed. Enjoy a two-hour 4WD tour among Wadi Rum's towering cliffs, sculptural rock formations, and rose-pink sands. Then settle in to your simple Bedouin camp in time for dinner: please note that tents include beds and bedding but not bathrooms (shared, single-sex facilities are available a short walk away).

Day 3: Wadi Rum – Amman Airport (B)
After a traditional Bedouin breakfast, hop back into your air-conditioned vehicle for the 4-hour drive back to Amman airport, in time for your flight home.
