Early in the morning we will depart from Chachapoyas City and after an hour and a quarter journey, we will get to the village called Cocachimba, located 26 miles (42km) from Chachapoyas City. From here we will start our hiking or horseback riding to the Gocta waterfall. This waterfall is considered one of the tallest waterfalls in the world. The hiking to Gocta waterfalls takes two hours and a half approximately. In the path, we will discover indescribable landscapes, hear the sound of nature and smell the surrounding jungle. There are good chances to observe monkeys and the Peruvian bird cock of the rock. Gocta waterfalls will receive us with a fresh sprays and its roar. The sense of mysticism will surround us.
